First Time Champs  The Gibson County Lady Pioneers went into the Class AA Girls' State High School Basketball Tournament without a loss and with a dream to win the championship. Their dream came true making it the first championship the school has won in any sport. "...pray for good health."
Sharon Hoobler is, as he puts it, retired, but not retired. At the age of 87, he is still working, but on his own terms. After retiring, Hoobler started to board horses on his land in central Oregon. Rain or shine, he goes out every day to feed and care for the horses. Hoobler says that exercise is a key to longevity and you need to "...pray for good health." The International Washer Pitchin' Contest 
Yorkville, Tenn. may be a small town, but it brings big competition once a year. This town of about 300 people draws washer pitchers from around the globe. Washer pitchin' is a simple tossing game and the town decided it needed its own festival to go along with other festivals at area towns. |
